31 mai TI4DM Partners Meet in North Macedonia to Shape the Platform’s Technical Foundation
As Work Package 3 gained momentum, the Talent Inflow 4 Digital Minds (TI4DM) consortium came together for a focused two day transnational mobility hosted by Goce Delčev University of Štip, in North Macedonia. Bringing together three representatives from each partner institution, Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu, Lietuvos Inžinerijos Kolegija, Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, and the host university itself, the meeting was dedicated to a task that rarely makes headlines but quietly determines the success of every digital project: making sure the „Elevate Digital You!” platform is built on solid, lasting technical ground.
Over two intensive working days, partners rolled up their sleeves to tackle the practical realities behind a platform meant to serve students for years to come. Discussions covered the digital infrastructure required to host and run the platform and mobile app, the software licenses needed to keep everything running smoothly and legally, and the long term maintenance strategies that will keep the system reliable long after the project itself concludes. Rather than treating sustainability as an afterthought, the consortium chose to confront these questions early and thoroughly, recognising that even the most innovative educational content depends entirely on the technical backbone that carries it.
The value of this mobility went beyond a simple exchange of technical opinions. By comparing the infrastructure, expertise, and resources available across four different countries, partners were able to identify the most efficient and realistic path forward, one that balances innovation with practicality and long term viability. Every idea discussed in Štip is now being carefully documented and will feed directly into two key project deliverables: a comprehensive infrastructure report and a detailed methodology guide, together forming the technical blueprint that will accompany the platform’s development from this point onward.
This meeting may have unfolded behind the scenes, far from the more visible milestones of the project, but its impact will be felt every single time a student logs into the „Elevate Digital You!” platform without a glitch, every time a course loads instantly, and every time the system keeps running smoothly, years into the future. Sound infrastructure planning does not always make for the most glamorous headlines, but it is precisely what turns an ambitious idea into a platform that truly lasts.
