„Constantin Brancusi” University of Targu-Jiu has launched the 2024 admission process for foreign citizens, which takes place exclusively online, by submitting documents. Candidates who do not have a Gmail account can send scanned documents to admitere.ucb@gmail.com

The timetable of the 2024 admission process for foreign nationals is:

  • Online submission of documents: 25 MARCH – 15 MAY 2024, 16:00 (Eastern European Summer Time)
  • Evaluation of applications: 20 MAY – 24 JUNE 2024
  • Publication of lists of candidates who received letters of acceptance to studies – 26 JUNE 2024
  • Registration of successful candidates: 25 – 30 SEPTEMBER 2024

 

The preparatory year of Romanian language is compulsory for students who wish to study in Romanian and do not have a language proficiency certificate. During this one-year, full-time academic programme, international students will acquire the necessary reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in Romanian for academic purposes, as well as specific knowledge related to the profile of their future field of study.

Before starting the admission process, please check that you meet the following mandatory requirements:

  •  You comply with the specific admission criteria imposed by each faculty (please check the academic offer and specific criteria document)
  •  Your diplomas are recognised by the Romanian Ministry of Education (please check the document List of diplomas recognised by MEN)

If you have answered YES to all the above, you can go ahead and check the steps you need to follow to become a student.

STEP 1: OBTAINING THE LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE

  1. The admission process will take place exclusively online.
  2. Please make sure that all your documents are scanned in PDF format. The name of the document must include the type of document and the surname (e.g. Consent surname, highschool diploma, surname etc.).
  3. The application period is 25 March – 24 April 2024, 16:00 (Eastern European Summer Time).
  4. Candidates are requested to use the online registration platform available at:

Candidates who do not have a Gmail account can send scanned documents to admitere.ucb@gmail.com.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

  •  Application form (attached below)
  • Declaration of authenticity (attached below)
  • Consent for processing of personal data (attached below)
  • High school diploma – super-certified (for residents of countries that have signed the Hague Convention, the Hague Apostille is required – go to: https://apostile.ro/state-membre-haga. For all others, documents must be endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the Romanian Embassy in the country of origin). Documents issued in languages other than Romanian, English or French must be translated and legalised by a notary.
  • Transcripts of high school diplomas – translations authorised and certified by a notary public in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages;
  • Bachelor’s degree – super-legalised (for residents of countries that have signed the Hague Convention, the Hague Apostille is required – go to: https://apostile.ro/state-membre-haga. For all others, documents must be endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and the Romanian Embassy in the country of origin).

  • transcripts of the bachelor’s degree – translations certified and legalised by a notary public in Romanian, English or French, if the original is not issued in one of these languages; (only for applicants to master’s studies)
  •  birth certificate in certified or legalised translation if the document is not issued in Romanian, English or French;
  • copy of passport;
  • national identity card or any other document proving permanent residence (home address);
  • marriage certificate in certified or certified translation if the document is not issued in Romanian, English or French (if applicable); – to be uploaded together with the birth certificate
  • the medical certificate certifying that the person who is going to enroll in studies does not suffer from contagious diseases or other conditions incompatible with the future profession;
  • proof of payment of the fee for processing the application file in the amount of 150 EURO (paid for each file submitted separately), paid to the university’s account.

  • power of attorney if the applicant’s application is made by a representative.

(NOTE: The power of attorney must clearly specify the actions that the representative can do on behalf of the candidate (submission of documents, receipt of acceptance letter, payment of tuition fees, receipt of fee paid if the candidate decides not to apply or does not receive a student visa).

 

„Constantin Brâncuși” University of Targu-Jiu will process your file and send it to the Ministry of Education for evaluation. It may take up to 30 working days to receive a reply from the Ministry of Education. Once the answer is received, UCB will inform the candidate of the results. If the acceptance letter has been issued, we will decide together how the document will be sent to the candidate.
